My friend Javier Diez from Voxpop challenged me and asked if I dare to record and edit their new mashup song “Tuve tu pachanga loca”, my answer was straight and simple. “If you dare to have me behind the camera I have no problem to do it, or at least try it.”
Javier was the mind behind the idea, he developed all the concept work and he followed closely all the work steps. My job was to record all the video footage and I was in charge of the editing (under Javier’s direct supervision). The audio was recorded, mixed and arranged by Tommy Mayer-Wolf and Manuel Moreno in Estudio Openhaus.
This is the final product of many hours of fun working together.
Hope you like it.
Last Saturday I went to a concert of my friends from Voxpop, an Argentinian acapella band who sings mostly cover songs from the 80’s and 90’s mixed with humor and mashup in a particular and funny way.
Initially I wasn’t carrying my camera with, but in a split second I thought why should be this the first time I don’t take any pictures from their concerts? And I am glad I changed my mind and brought it.
As usual their performance was superb. One of the best and funniest moments was when they, in a remembrance of the past, came into the stage with wigs representing their rock&roll era and tried to hit on a girl from the audience, simply hilarious.
Here you have some pictures from the show, hope you like them.
